SPECIAL AWARDS:

  • Two vouchers have been donated by Blue Wren Gallery & Framers - one for the winner of the RAS Art Award (see below), the other for the winner of the “Year of the Forest?” class 10.  These two winning exhibits are not eligible for the following award:
  • A voucher has been donated by Jacksons Drawing Supplies for the most outstanding exhibit in the section.
  • A voucher has been donated by Geographe Gallery & Picture Framers for the winner of class 11.
  • Agricultural Societies Art Award: An exhibit will be chosen from classes 1 to 10 to represent this Society at the 2011 Perth Royal Show. Paintings must not exceed 120cm x 120cm x 10cm including frame.  Further information available on request from Secretary.  This winning exhibit is open only to residents of Busselton and surrounding districts. Exhibitor is to make own arrangements for winning exhibit to be delivered to and from Perth Royal Show. Exhibit chosen will be of ‘a rural nature’. The aim of the award is to promote knowledge of our agricultural areas and activities and to ensure that paintings of a rural nature are available for public viewing and purchase at the Perth Royal Show.

  • 1    Painting in oils or acrylic – landscape or seascape.
  • 2    Painting in oils or acrylic – any other subject.
  • 3    Painting in water colour – landscape or seascape.
  • 4    Painting in water colour – any other subject.
  • 5    Drawing in pastel – land or seascape.
  • 6    Drawing in pastel – any other subject.
  • 7    Drawing in pencil or ink – colour or black and white – any subject.
  • 8    Mixed  or other mediums – any subject.
  • 9 Portrait – any medium.
  • 10 Year of the Forest theme - any medium
  • 11 14-17 years - any medium.

NOTE:

  • a) NOMINATION OF ENTRY forms will be received until noon WEDNESDAY November 2 nd.  NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  • b)  EXHIBITS to be staged as early as possible but no later than noon on THURSDAY November 3rd ready for judging on Friday.
  • ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE COLLECTED AFTER THE SHOW.

SPECIAL REGULATIONS:

  • Exhibits that have previously taken a prize at the Busselton Show shall not be eligible to compete.
  • Exhibits must be the work of one individual and must be signed by that person.  Please note that for judging of exhibits, the signature must not be visible to the public.
  • All prints, drawings and paintings to be equipped for hanging and backed neatly. Max size of painting 120cm x 120cm x 10cm including frame.
  • ENTRIES NOT EQUIPPED FOR HANGING WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
  • Complete canvas board accepted.
  • Where one exhibit only is entered in a class, prize money will be awarded at the discretion of the judge.
  • The Emery Pavilion will be cleared of all persons, with the exception of Stewards, at 4pm on Saturday October 30th, re-opening from 4:15pm to 5pm for the removal of exhibits.  Re-entry will be by Receipt of Entry only.
