2 C Self Raising Flour               125g softened Butter
1 ½ C Castor Sugar                    4 eggs
½ tsp Bi-carb Soda                    1 tsp Vanilla Essence
½ C Cocoa Powder                    1 C milk
1.    Preheat oven 180° convention/160° fan forced. Grease & line 20cm round deep cake tin.
2.    Into a mixer bowl sift flour, sugar, bi-carb, cocoa add butter, eggs, milk & vanilla.
3.    Beat on medium speed 2 minutes.
4.    Pour into tin. Bake 1hr 15min – 1hr 30min or until cooked. Cool for 5 mins in tin, then turn onto wire rack with kitchen paper underneath (stops wire marks).
5.    Cool completely before icing with chocolate icing of your choice.

NOTE:

  • a)  NOMINATION of entry forms will be received until 12 noon Wednesday November 2nd at the Show Office, Churchill Park. A limit of two entries per class. NO LATE NOMINATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  • b)  EXHIBITS to be staged by 9.30am, Friday November 4th with exhibit ticket attached.  NO LATE EXHIBITS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  • c)  Exhibits are to be collected between 4:30pm and 5pm Saturday November 5th.  Re-entry will be by Receipt of Entry only.
  • d) ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE COLLECTED AFTER THE SHOW.

 

SPECIAL REGULATIONS:

  • One entry per person, per class in age group specified.
  • All work must be the UNAIDED EFFORT OF THE EXHIBITOR.
  • Please note – clear OVEN BAGS TURNED OVER, NOT TIED to cover cooking – NO GLADWRAP.

See cows milked and calves fed at 10:30; 11:30; 12:30 and 1:30 on Saturday. All this at the Dairy Promotion Tent situated opposite the cattle ring. See the visual display of farm memorabilia, photo's and some modern farm equipment. Free product sampling and giveaways.
